ICAT is one of several centers in Idaho contracted with the Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to demonstrate amplified and relay telephones, shake-awake alarm clocks, baby monitors, flashing light door signals, pocket amplifiers, and other assistive technology for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Individuals with fixed or low incomes can apply at ICAT for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Subsidy. This program is available to Idahoans once in their lifetime to help them purchase an adapted telephone or other device.
