ICAT members have access to Idaho’s largest library of Assistive Technology devices:
- Adapted, developmental, and sensory toys for children
- Adapted switches for toys, computers, and communication devices
- Alternative keyboards, mouse alternatives, and other adapted computer access tools
- Communication devices at all levels of technology
- Computer software for learning, learning disabilities, and voice-access
- Devices for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Ergonomic tools for gardening, driving, seating, dressing, cooking/eating, pain-reduction performing various activities, and for return to work after loss of ability
- Magnification devices and software
- Memory tools and activities
- Seating, standing, and wheeled play equipment for small children with physical disabilities
- Talking books and books on CD
- Writing aids, word-protection devices, and portable word processors

Library Policy and Services
Library members may borrow up to 6 items at one time for 30 days. Extensions beyond 30 days are available by permission only.
Library members are encouraged to borrow items for trial use to determine what will best serve their needs in their environment. ICAT does not purchase items for our users, nor do we sell anything.
ICAT’s assistive technology and toy loaning library is staffed by certified Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) who have met all the eligibility requirements of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA). Our professionals are here to help you discover the technology that will meet your specific need, find where to get it at the lowest cost, and help you learn how to use it. Our goal is for you to succeed in your process of discovery and education until you arrive at the resolution of your goal.
